Kerry - Dominic Behan

Twas Kerry here and Kerry there,
Twas Kerry, Kerry, everywhere,
And all across the midnight air,
There rang the war cry, "Kerry!"

Twas Kerry right and Kerry wrong,
Twas Kerry weak or Kerry strong,
Twas Kerry short or Kerry long,
The Tans remember Kerry.

Our town Tralee they came to see,
And conquer with their savagery,
But Lynch's army made them flee,
From our beloved Kerry.

Twas Kerry big and Kerry straight,
Twas Kerry early, never late,
No Black and Tan could e'er create,
A foothold here in Kerry.

Our hand grenades were Kerry made,
Our soldiers of the Kerry grade,
And when the country was dismayed,
They pinned their faith in Kerry.

Twas Kerry here, and Kerry there,
Twas Kerry, Kerry, everywhere,
All across the midnight air,
There rang the war cry, "Kerry!".
