[Verse]
In Belfast town one dreary day in the year of '89,
A dad sat with his wife and kids forgetting all their cares,
Then at the door there stood two men with murder on their minds,
They shot Pat down, those cowardly men, they shot him fourteen times.

[Chorus]
Justice for Pat Finucane is all we're looking for,
Try get your lips just to admit, that's all we're asking for,
We do not want revenge at all, that's not what we're about,
So if you have a heart within then the truth will come out.

[Verse]
Pat's only crime upon this land was to stand against the Crown,
State collusion, police corruption, that was their only power,
They tried their best to give a cell, but we will stand our ground,
For until we get the truth from them we never will back down.

Now the years roll quickly onward, the grief still lingers on,
Both night and day we hope and pray that they won't leave it long,
Until we get the answers that we've been waiting for,
Then we can let Pat rest in peace for now and evermore.

[Chorus]
Justice for Pat Finucane is all we're looking for,
Try get your lips just to admit, that's all we're asking for,
We do not want revenge at all, that's not what we're about,
So if you have a heart within then the truth will come out.
You say, "If you have a heart within then the truth will come out.".
