[Intro]
Earth is spinning helplessly, among the Milky Way,
Stars are shining, asteroids tumbling,
Comets flying, black holes gaping, wide.

[Verse]
And where is all the laughter, the laughter of the children,
Chasing after moonbeams in the sun?
Superman is crying, crying in the rainclouds,
Chasing after moonbeams in the sun.

[Chorus]
Running through the trees, catching falling leaves,
Chasing with the hare and with the hound,
Running with the devil, chasing with the priestess,
Everyone is flying to the sun.

[Verse]
The trash can's overflowing with tomorrow morning's refuse,
Chasing after moonbеams in the sun,
Once wherе there was plenty, the gaping holes are empty,
We're chasing after moonbeams in the sun.

[Chorus]
Running through the trees, catching falling leaves,
Chasing with the hare and with the hound,
Running with the devil, chasing with the priestess,
Everyone is flying to the Sun.

[Bridge]
Dancing off into the sky, in an everlasting chain of loneliness,
Across the rainbow we will fly, chasing after love and happiness.

[Verse]
The scientist speaks with wisdom, he talks of global warming,
He's chasing after moonbeams in the sun,
The spaceship Earth is spinning, to its end in the beginning,
We're chasing after moonbeams in the sun.
